A Second Chance for Cooper
Thanks to Laurie Gengo and the Triangle Law Group team, 2-year-old yellow lab, Cooper, has found his forever home. After being diagnosed with heartworm, Cooper sat in a shelter for a 186 days before Platinum Paw sponsor of Second Chance and a Grand Champion sponsor of the Heeling Hearts program, Triangle Law Group, funded Cooper’s heartworm treatment (and so many more!).

Laurie will again be teaching civil litigation to people preparing for their North Carolina paralegal certification. She will discuss the entire civil litigation process, starting with the lawsuit through the trial.
She also participated in a program that provides free basic wills to elderly people who cannot otherwise afford them.
Supporting The Arts
Triangle Law Group continues to contribute to the arts. The firm acted as a corporate sponsor for former Durham resident Shana Tucker’s debut album, “Shine.” Ms. Tucker sought grassroots funding on IndieGoGo. After meeting her at a social outing, we learned about her passion and desire to record an album. That album has received rave reviews and helped launch Ms. Tucker’s career. She now lives in Las Vegas, but tours throughout the United States, and occasionally comes back to her beloved Durham. Ms. Tucker’s unique music, which consists of her cello playing and melodic singing, is captivating. Check out her website at www.shanatucker.com.
Triangle Law Group contributed to 10,000 Maniacs’ latest project on Pledge Music. Many of you will remember this group as a breakout alternative band in the 1980s, when they toured the world with bands such as R.E.M. Laurie was classmates with some band members at Jamestown High School in western New York. The band’s latest effort, “Twice Told Tales,” led to a new recording contract with Cleopatra Records. Triangle Law Group is listed as an executive producer of the album, and we are proud to have been part of this exciting project. You can check out the band’s music at www.maniacs.com.
