Every year, Triangle Law Group (TLG) attends Second Chance’s Evening of Pawsibilities Gala to help raise money to help homeless animals in North Carolina. This year, the ever-growing event was hosted at the Raleigh Convention Center since last year’s sold out like crazy! The TLG employees donned their finest dresses and suits and everyone felt a little like a movie star (if only just for the night)!
While at the event, everyone got to meet the adoptable puppies and kitties that Second Chance had set-up in the lobby. Pictured below is our Director of Marketing, Annie, and her boyfriend, Thomas, meeting a gorgeous pup and trying super hard not to get overly attached (another puppy was not in the cards for them that night).
Throughout the night, TLG employees bid on the various gift baskets up for auction as a way to raise money to fund Second Chance’s animal shelter. The bidding got pretty intense and by the end of the night, a lot of them left with substantially lighter pockets than they had come in with. But it was all for a good cause so no one felt too guilty! We’re proud to announce that TLG was the largest individual donor of the night! Second Chance raised a record breaking $105,000 to support their mission and we’re so happy we could do our part.
After the intense bidding wars were over, everyone settled down for a delicious meal. Second Chance served plates of grilled chicken seasoned to perfection, juicy short ribs, and mashed potatoes. The food was so delicious, the word ‘delicious’ doesn’t even begin to describe it! Second Chance really went all out this year. Dessert included a mini cheesecake with berries, chocolate pie, and some amazingly delicious cookies.
By the end of the night, everyone was stuffed to the brim with yummy food and ready for a nap! The night was absolutely magical and none of it would be possible without the hard work, generosity, and compassion that Second Chance Pet Rescue’s shows every single day for the homeless dogs and cats of North Carolina.
